Paranoid

So we played Mississippi Pizza in Portland. Free pizza/drink ticket (only one, LAME). Met a bunch of cool gypsy girls and watched them dance to the last band of the night, Fanno Creek, who killed it by the way but what's wrong with us?! Why can't the cute girls always dance to our songs like everyone in Idaho?! Anywho, Portland is a rad place, kinda odd, but everything is a little unfamiliar when you're away from home.
Were all back in Cali.
If we didn't get our transmission fixed, we would definitely would've been, as Mike Nordin would put it, "done" by Portland. After driving for nearly twelve hours to San Francisco we were eager to get as far away from the money eating/problem causing hunk of metal we call our van. In n Out was the first stop. We lucked out on Noel having a really cool older (half)brother that just happens to live in SF. He's been kind enough to take us in for a couple of nights and let us knock out in the living room. We spent the day buying wrong boarding passes, riding busses, wondering around aimlessly down in the main city sight seeing and getting delicious clam chowder in sour dough bowls.
Played a fun last show away from home at the Hemlock Tavern, minus a minor setback by Nate and I having to race back to the other end of the city to grab the tour E.P.s from our van. I don't even want to think about driving anywhere anymore. Now we're all paranoid about any smell, sound or van lurching that happens with both vans. Ours still works but it takes a good while to get into second gear, maybe it's just all of the inclines in SF but regardless it's a good thing our new transmission came with a one year/12,000mile warranty.
Anyways, were here another day, more chowder bowls are to be had and were all excited to be coming up on the last stretch of our little tour. See you guys soon.

Salem, Oregon

Our van made it out alive from transmission surgery. We made it to Olympia Washington last night to play at the 4th avenue tavern (awesome place) right after spending almost two hours washing our clothes at a laundromat/pub/arcade/ping pong joint. Now were all sitting at a coffee shop in Salem Oregon that we just played at listening to a guy do some acoustic solo artist stuff and waiting till nine when moonshine goes up to bring down the walls of this place.
Tomorrow we drive to Portland and have a show at Mississippi Pizza, I've heard nothing but good things so I'm pumped to grub on some pizza and play more music for all of the other pizza eaters out there. Meow

Better days have been had.

Bad luck struck us again on our way to Bremerton. Our van no longer shifts into second gear and no one wants to be stuck behind a creepy old van going 25 on the freeway. So now were trapped in Seattle, which I don't mind but at the same time were all really bummed that we have to cancel ANOTHER show.

We dropped the van off at Dean transmissions and it's not gonna be cheap to get it fixed. Now were back in the hotel brainstorming ways to make enough to pay it off.
Here's to the good to the good times, let's see what luck tomorrow brings.

Seattle

Stomach aches, no luck with lotto scratchers and cute girls in jogging shorts.
